2021 Fantasy Golf Draft Power Rankings

Fantasy Golf League

Power Rankings

Looking at this year picks its obvious who picked with their brains and who picked with… well, something else. Let’s start with those coming in at the bottom of the pack

Kelly (Grade: D-)

Dropping as far as he did to pick up a banged-up, under practiced Brooks Koepka as his first pick set the tone for the doctor and things didn’t pick up from there. With a person who has a name that my spell checker thinks need an apostrophe, Im was his second pick and one could argue that his third “best” player is Bubba Watson. We expect a long season for the doctor.

Cam (Grade: C)

With his first overall pick a respectable DJ it was all down hill from there. A couple of F’s come in for his second and third (Fleetwood and Fitzpatrick), which seriously could have been his final grade but we ticked it up a bit for the Woods pick.

Matt (Grade: C-)

With Morikawa as his stud and Horse Simpson/Horschel as two and three all we can say is ouch.

Brandon (Grade: C)

Not a great performance by the inebriated teacher but a solid effort. Some booed the first pick of Reed but we loved the pick. The Casey/Rose due in his middle line-up could work to his advantage but he came in way too high on Hatton.

Eli (Grade: C)

Another decent, middle of the road draft for Eli. No one would argue against the pick of Rohm as number one, but Eli found him self in love with the big O and stretching it out way too far for enjoyment. We’re of course referring to the pick of Oosthuizen, one big O he’ll soon hope to forget.

Rosco (Grade: B-)

Coming in with Schauffele, Wolff and Kisner 1-2-3 isn’t half bad. Rounded out with Kokrak and Ortiz could give him some interesting plays this year. We don’t think he’ll come away with any big winners, but he’s sure to be a contender at least for team points for a few of the Majors in 2021.

Cody (Grade: B)

Fan favorite Code didn’t disappoint with solid picking throughout most of the draft. Considering he was the tenth person to pick, coming away with Hovland must have felt like a win already. With Cantlay and English following up the Hovland pick, we believe Cody managed to nab three of the top fifteen prospects for 2021. Ending with Mickleson was an astute move that gives him interesting options for each tournament.

Tony (Grade: B)

With a McIlroy/Finau one-two punch Tony is bound to make people take notice this year. A better grade may have been achieved if he didn’t reach so far for the name (Garcia) and would have picked a more valuable player in that position.

Zach (Grade: A)

Of course, one always expects the best from a pro like Zach and this year he didn’t let us down. He was solid through his selections. DeChambeau/Scheffler/Berger will make him a contender every time.  Follow that up with Fowler and Kutcher and he’ll have many options to keep him contending in every tournament.

Rob (Grade: A+)

The surprise of the draft had to be Rob. Not only was he solid with each pick, he managed to grab Doc Redmond with his third pick which left some owners scratching their heads. But it was really his fifth pick of Zalotoris that proved Rob is one to think out of the box for the good of his team. Surely everyone around the league will be talking about his team tonight.
